In the digital age of 2026, the traditional auction gavel has evolved, and it created something like SBX Cars.

From modern hypercars to classics and even yachts, SBX Cars provides a global concierge that goes beyond the limitations of physical distance.

Transparency and 24/7 accessibility reinvent the online hypercar auction.

Almost two years after the launch, we thought this’d be a good time to answer some of the most frequently asked questions.

The personal touch – your SBX Cars specialist

High-value transactions on SBX require more than just an algorithm.

Our platform relies on digital bidding technology, but it is still powered by human expertise.

Every high-value listing is assigned a dedicated SBX Auction Specialist.

This expert has a deep understanding of the vehicle’s provenance, mechanical nuances, and historical significance.

Communication is direct.

Bidders can request ‘human-verified’ answers to technical queries, ensuring that your collector car due diligence is supported by a specialist who understands the importante of the investment.

Step 1: becoming a registered bidder on SBX Cars

To maintain the integrity of our digital showroom, we distinguish between a enthusiast and an verified bidder.

All are welcome to view our curated collection, only registered bidders may participate in the only auction process.

Transparency is paramount, which is why there’s a vetting process.

Our registration requires a credit card pre-authorization, and a 5% hold (with a minimum of $2,500) is placed on your account.

This measure ensures that every bid is intentional, protecting the interests of both the buyer and the seller.

Obviously, the hold is released at the end of the auction if they are not the winning bidder.

Step 2: vetted transparency & due diligence

Transparency is the cornerstone of every SBX transaction.

We provide a level of vetted transparency that eliminates the guesswork often associated with online platforms.

Every listing is accompanied by comprehensive third-party inspection reports and detailed seller disclosures.

Through the platform, you can message a seller directly.

We encourage you to schedule a private, in-person viewing or request a bespoke ‘cold start’ video to hear the engine’s health for yourself.

Step 3: mastering the bidding process

The SBX bidding process is designed for fairness and precision.

There’s also an anti-sniping protocol in place: if a bid is placed in the final moments of an auction, the clock automatically resets to two minutes.

Winning and the ‘white-glove’ hand-off

The SBX experience enters a new phase once the clock hits zero.

Unlike traditional auction houses that often charge 12% and 15%, SBX maintains a flat 5% buyer’s premium, allowing more of your capital to remain with the asset.

Our post-auction specialists facilitate the secure transfer of funds through protected escrow accounts.

Then we help coordinate with our signature partners to arrange white-glove car delivery.

SBX Cars was built by collectors, for collectors.

We understand that the thrill of the hunt should never be overshadowed by the complexity of the process.
